Not sure what to write about?  You can use article databases to come up with ideas.  Learn how to mine article databases such as Academic Search Complete, EBSCO Discovery Service, and ProQuest Central to generate new ideas, synthesis existing research, and identify research gaps.  Too many students begin with a narrow topic but then have a difficult time finding scholarly resources.  By searching the databases for what topics have already been researched, and by moving from broad topics to narrow ones, you can find something compelling and researchable to write about.
