Database Research Strategies and Advanced Search Tips
In this workshop, learn some practical ways to increase the effectiveness of your database searches. A useful workshop for any research-oriented faculty or graduate students, and for those who teach research in their courses. Focus will be on three of the most generally useful DBs (EBSCO Discovery Service, Academic Search Complete, and ProQuest Central) and on the manipulation of search indices to get optimal search results. Boolean operators are an important part of the discussion. Saving articles to personal folders is treated.
