Database Research Strategies & Advanced Search Tips
In this workshop, learn some practical ways to increase the effectiveness of your database searches -- a useful workshop for faculty and students alike. It will focus mainly on article databases and eBook databases, with a view toward gathering sources for research projects. We will spend most of our time in EBSCO and ProQuest databases, but we will also discuss, indeed will begin with, seemingly mundane topics like how to look up a book in the Library Catalog. In the end, you should be comfortable exploring the library's databases, and you may even learn to see research as less like a chore and more like an exploration!
